Homemade Oreo Cookies: Behind the Scene

Baking has been my regular agenda every weekend starting.. hmm.. a few months back, i guess? and I usually uploaded the pics on my facebook. Not to brag about it but to help myself remember and keep track on what I’ve been making. And yea, to show off a bit. hahahahahaha.. XD~

Anyways, apparently those uploaded pics of my cooking has caught the attention of a number of people, including my colleagues. They asked me what I was gonna make this weekend *awhh, they noticed :’)* I don’t normally plan what I wanna bake.. when I plan, it doesn’t usually happen. And so they advised *or requested.. hmm* that I make Oreo Cheesecake. So I thought that I’ll give it a shot and bought a pack of Oreo.

But, shame on me, that pack of Oreo didn’t make it to the oven — they go straight down to my tummy; bare. :”>

I was supposed to take a rest in order to recover from a cold.. so I was prepared not to do anything. But me being me, doing nothing means eating everything. Before those poor Oreo, I ate 2 pia legong (some sort of pie/cake filled with cheese/chocolate/etc.), a plate of papaya, 2 oranges, lemper ayam (steamed sticky rice filled with minced chicken), aaand rice & chicken curry for lunch.

Upon the realization that the cookies were gone, I was like: “shoot, I ate the whole pack.” and my colleague’s fave quote echoed in my head: “A moment on the lips, forever on the hips.” *aaaaaaaacckkk!*

And so I bake. To stop munching. Or at least pause.

Yep, that’s what I managed to bake today: Oreo Cookies.
